Why is my car charging so slowly
If charging power is lower than expected or keeps jumping up and down, it is usually a mix of installation limits and smart control.
Potential reasons
- Load balancing takes other household loads into account.
- The vehicle itself may have a limit set on maximum charging power.
- Your grid connection is limited (for example single-phase 25A), throttling the charge point.
Checking this in Leafy Energy
- In the app, look at the live charging power and any configured limits.
- Verify whether a temporary scenario is active, such as a "fuse protection" mode.
Visual explanation in the demo
- The demo includes a graph where charging power "breathes" with household usage.
- This allows you to show very clearly why power is not always at the maximum.
