My home battery will not charge

A non-charging home battery means less flexibility with dynamic prices. This article helps you rule out the most common causes.

1. Check the operating mode

• Make sure the battery is in a mode that allows charging.
• Some systems offer explicit "discharge only" or "backup only" modes.

2. Energy source

• Verify that there is sufficient solar production or grid power available.
• At very low prices Leafy Energy may choose to charge from the grid instead of solar only.

3. Leafy Energy settings

• Open the battery profile in the app.
• Check whether minimum or maximum charge levels have already been reached.
• In the demo there is a deliberately conservative profile to illustrate this behaviour.

If the battery still does not charge after these checks, inspect the physical installation and contact your installer for further diagnostics.
