Why some things are “broken on purpose” in the demo
Leafy Energy is a fictional demo company. In the demo environment we deliberately include a number of error scenarios to train support and sales teams.
Examples of intentional issues
- A dashboard tile that occasionally loads slowly to simulate performance discussions.
- A test account that always returns a login error.
- A chart with a missing day to explain data quality and correction flows.
How to use this in training
- Let participants discover what feels “off”.
- Ask them to use the Leafy Energy help centre articles to diagnose the issue.
- Then discuss which questions they would ask a real customer.
This article is mainly an internal guide for trainers, but can remain public so demo environments can be shared easily.
