Changing the bank account on a shared contract

When multiple people contribute to Leafy Energy

In a shared contract, for example with housemates or partners with shared finances, it can be useful to change the direct debit bank account.

Key principles

• Only the contract owner can officially change the IBAN.
• Other residents can be added as contacts but cannot change the main account.

Example scenario

• One housemate moves out, the other takes over the contract.
• The IBAN is changed to the account of the person staying behind.
• Any outstanding amounts are settled on the final bill for the old arrangement.
