Is the price or kWh value of my session correct?

Leafy Energy may show a price or kWh figure for a session that does not match your intuition. This does not always indicate an error; several factors may be at play.

Influencing factors

• The car reports net energy, while the charge point measures gross draw (including losses).
• With dynamic tariffs, the hourly price may vary significantly within a single session.
• Public sessions may include per-minute fees or flat session fees.

How Leafy Energy calculates

• Home: hourly calculation using the actual market price plus taxes and grid fees.
• Public: we show the price as delivered by your charge card provider.
• Insight screens show which parts of the session fell into expensive or cheap hours.
