When authentication breaks your charging session
You present your charge card or phone to the charger, but the session never starts. In most cases, something is wrong in the authentication chain.
Common causes
- Your charge card is inactive or blocked.
- You are using a card that is not linked to Leafy Energy or to your contract.
- The charger cannot reach the authentication backend.
- There is a clash between starting a session via app and via card.
How Leafy Energy shows this
- Session details may show messages like “Authorisation denied” or “No backend connection”.
- We indicate which method was used to start the session (card, app, RFID tag).
When troubleshooting, always try one method at a time (card only or app only) and verify in Leafy Energy that the card is linked to the right contract.
