A home battery is not a toy, but curious kids and pets may still get near it. With a few simple measures you can make your setup more child- and pet-safe.

Physical barriers

• Place the battery in a location that is not directly accessible, for example a locked utility room.
• Use small barriers or gates where needed, especially for floor-mounted batteries.

No loose cables

• Prevent pets from seeing cables as chew toys.
• Use cable ducts or clips to keep everything tidy and out of reach.

Education
