Different strategies per season

Your energy behaviour in winter differs from summer. Leafy Energy can automatically switch between strategies based on the season.

Summer strategy

• Focus on solar-driven charging and cooling.
• Emphasis on “charge during sunny daytime hours, discharge in the evening”.
• Less strict night-charging rules, as price spreads are often smaller.

Winter strategy

• Focus on heating and high peaks.
• Night charging in cheap hours, daytime discharging around heating and cooking peaks.
• Potentially higher reserve capacity for heavy-weather outages.

Automatic switching

In the settings you can define separate summer and winter profiles with date boundaries. Leafy Energy automatically switches between them while using the same hardware (battery, EV, automation).
