Adding extra security: enabling two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security on top of your password. We strongly recommend enabling it, especially if you link many smart devices and locations to your account.

Enabling 2FA

1. Log in to your Leafy Energy account.
2. Go to Profile > Security.
3. Select Enable two-factor authentication.
4. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app or link your phone number.
5. Enter the received or generated code to confirm.

After enabling 2FA

• On each new login we ask for a temporary code in addition to your password.
• You can mark trusted devices so you don’t need to enter a code as often.

With 2FA, attackers will find it much harder to access your account even if your password is ever compromised.
