Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Leafy Energy account. In addition to your password, you enter a temporary code from an app or via SMS when logging in.

Why use 2FA?

• Even if someone knows your password, they can’t log in without the code.
• You protect sensitive data such as charging sessions and home battery status.
• Business users are more likely to comply with internal security policies.

Enabling 2FA

1. Log in to the Leafy Energy portal.
2. Go to Profile > Security.
3. Enable Two-factor authentication.
4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app or configure SMS codes.
5. Store your backup codes in a safe place.

If you lose your phone and don’t have backup codes, support will need to carefully verify your identity before we can reset 2FA.
