Water and electricity: always a risky mix
In spaces like basements, garages, sheds and outdoor areas, moisture is far more likely. That requires extra care when using electrical connections.
General advice
- Use only outdoor-rated sockets and fixtures outside.
- Do not place power strips on the floor where water may accumulate.
- Have outdoor sockets and cables installed by an electrician.
Chargers and batteries in damp environments
- Follow OEM and installer requirements strictly.
- Provide adequate protection from rain and splashing water.
- Report rust, corrosion or moisture traces to your installer.
Leafy Energy and damp areas
- Leafy Energy cannot see moisture, but it can reveal fault patterns that might be related.
- In the demo we visualise fault clusters in certain parts of the home on maps and charts.
