Requirements before you start
Before connecting your smart meter to Leafy Energy, it’s smart to check a few things. This helps you avoid errors and delays.
1. A smart meter actually installed
- Verify that you have a digital meter (display + buttons), not an old spinning-disc meter.
- In many regions you can also confirm this on your grid operator’s website.
2. Remote reading permission
- Your grid operator must be allowed to read your meter remotely.
- In some countries you can toggle this online. Without permission, we won’t receive any data.
3. Correct customer and connection details
- Have your customer number and address ready.
- If you have multiple supply points, make sure you know which one you are connecting.
