When will I see my first usage data?
After linking their smart meter, many customers expect immediate charts. In reality, a few steps need to happen first.
Typical timelines
- Right after linking: status shows “connection pending”.
- Within a few hours: first daily totals may appear.
- From the next day onwards: hourly data becomes visible in charts.
Why is there a delay?
- The smart meter sends data to the grid operator at fixed intervals.
- The grid operator forwards data to Leafy Energy in batches.
- We then process it into dashboards and notifications.
If you still see no data at all after 48 hours, follow the troubleshooting checklist or contact support.
