Safety when controlling devices

Through integrations, Leafy Energy can influence when devices switch on or off. It’s natural to have questions about safety and control.

You stay in control

• Automations are opt-in: nothing is controlled without your explicit consent.
• For each device you can set boundaries within which Leafy Energy may operate (e.g. minimum temperature or latest charge completion time).
• You can pause or disable automations at any moment.

Technical security

• Communication with devices uses encrypted channels (for example via Home Assistant or Homey).
• You can revoke access tokens at any time in your account settings.

In the demo these principles are mimicked so you can clearly show how control and automation remain balanced.
