What exactly is Leafy Energy?

Leafy Energy is a dynamic energy supplier. This means your electricity and gas prices follow the wholesale market on an hourly (and in some cases 15-minute) basis. You benefit when you shift usage to cheaper hours.

Is Leafy Energy a real supplier?

In this demo environment, Leafy Energy is fictional, but all processes, screens, and documentation are set up as if it were a full supplier. That makes it ideal for training and demos.

Do I need a smart meter?

You’ll get the most value from Leafy Energy with a smart meter, but you can become a customer without one. Your insight and optimisation options will be more limited, though.

Can anyone become a customer?

In this demo we assume national coverage for residential and small business connections. Large industrial connections are out of scope.

Is security of supply affected by dynamic tariffs?

No. Security of supply does not depend on your tariff type, but on the energy grid itself. Dynamic simply means your prices vary, not that your supply becomes less reliable.
