Verifying meter readings and usage data
If your data is wrong, the rest of your Leafy Energy experience will be wrong as well. That’s why a data check in your first month is essential.
Step 1: compare daily totals
- Open the app and look at your daily usage.
- Roughly compare it with what you were used to seeing at your old supplier or smart thermostat.
- Watch for unexpected spikes or completely flat lines.
Step 2: hourly data (with smart meter)
- View the hourly chart for a typical weekday and weekend day.
- Check whether peaks match moments of heavy usage (cooking, laundry, EV charging).
Step 3: confirm meter readings
- Write down the values from your physical meter and compare them with the values in the app (same date).
- If you see significant differences, contact support so we can investigate together.
Once this check looks good, you can confidently build automations and dynamic price optimisation on top of it.
