Leafy Energy helps you distinguish between an issue in your own installation and an area-wide power outage. This article walks you through some simple checks.
Signs of a wider outage
- Street lights and nearby houses are dark as well.
- Your smart meter is unreachable or shows a generic error.
- Your modem/router is off and will not come back online, even after a reboot.
Signs of an issue in your own home
- Only specific circuits have lost power.
- Your neighbours still have electricity.
- The main breaker or RCD in your fuse box has tripped.
In the Leafy Energy app we display an alert on the dashboard during major outages (fictional in the demo) so you can immediately see that the issue is not caused by your own home.
