Home, work, or public: how does Leafy Energy know?

To provide useful insights, Leafy Energy must know where you charge. It uses a combination of location, charger metadata, and charge card data.

Recognising home charging

• You have a charger registered as “Home”.
• The charger location matches your home address.
• Sessions are automatically tagged as “Home” in the app.

Recognising public charging

• Sessions are imported from roaming or charge card exports.
• The location does not match your Home or Work chargers.
• Leafy Energy tags these sessions as “Public”.

In demos, a map view with coloured pins for home, work, and public makes this classification immediately clear.
