Moving a plug-in battery: how to do it safely

Moving your plug-in battery indoors or outdoors

One advantage of plug-in batteries is their mobility. However, you should still move them carefully to avoid damage or unsafe conditions.

Step 1: Power down and disconnect

• Switch off all connected devices first.
• Turn the battery off, then unplug it from the wall.
• Wait a few minutes to allow internal components to shut down.

Step 2: Transport

• Lift the battery using the designated handles.
• Avoid strong impacts and excessive tilting.
• Place the unit upright at the new location.

Step 3: Update the location in Leafy Energy

• Update the room or zone in Leafy Energy (for example from “living room” to “shed”).
• Check if Wi-Fi coverage is still sufficient, otherwise connection warnings may appear.
