VAT is applied to nearly all components of your Leafy Energy invoice. That includes consumption, fixed charges, and in many cases other taxes.

How VAT is calculated

• All VAT-exclusive amounts are added together.
• The applicable VAT percentage is applied to this subtotal.
• The VAT amount and the total including VAT are shown as separate lines.

VAT in the Leafy Energy app

In the app you can choose whether to view amounts including or excluding VAT. Households usually prefer “including VAT”, while business customers often look at net amounts.

In this demo, VAT is highlighted as a separate component in the cost overview so you can easily explain how the final amount is built up.
