Why are corrections sometimes needed?
Even though Leafy Energy uses smart meters and near real-time data, it can happen that corrected readings arrive later. These are settled on a subsequent monthly invoice.
Typical causes
- Temporary issues with the smart meter.
- Delayed or corrected data from the grid operator.
- Changes in measurement configuration (for example, when adding solar panels).
How this appears on your invoice
- A separate line labelled “Correction previous period”.
- A detailed appendix with original and new values.
In the Leafy Energy demo you can show an example invoice where only a few kWh are corrected, making it easy for support staff to explain this to customers.
