Switching with or without moving house: what’s the difference?

Switching when moving versus staying at your current address

Whether you stay where you are or move to a new home, you can switch to Leafy Energy in both situations, but the process is slightly different.

Switching at your current address

• We take over the existing connection from your old supplier.
• You keep using the same meter(s).
• The start date is usually easy to plan.

Switching when moving house

• We link Leafy Energy to your new address.
• You must close or move your old contract according to your current supplier’s rules.
• We ask for moving dates (key handover, final inspection) to correctly time your start date.

In the app you simply indicate whether you’re switching at your current address or in combination with a move.
