Usage estimates without a smart meter

Without a smart meter, Leafy Energy doesn’t know your consumption per hour. Still, we can produce a reasonable estimate of your monthly costs.

Which inputs do we use?

• Historical annual or monthly usage from previous bills (if you enter them).
• Profiles for similar households (for example, apartment with two occupants).
• Optional self-declared features (EV, electric cooking, heat pump, etc.).

How does the profile model work?

• We distribute your estimated annual usage across the year using a seasonal curve.
• Within each day, we apply a typical 24-hour shape with morning and evening peaks.
• We multiply that curve by the dynamic hourly prices to estimate indicative costs.

The result is not a perfect reflection of your real usage, but it is a solid starting point to understand how dynamic tariffs would affect a household like yours.
