Even without a smart meter, you can integrate Leafy Energy into your smart home. The key is to use price data as the primary trigger.

Example scenarios

• Use low-price alerts to trigger an EV charging session.
• Only enable an electric boiler or radiator during selected “cheap” windows.
• Turn on a lamp or status LED when prices are extremely high as a visual reminder.

What are the downsides?

• You don’t know exactly how many kWh a particular automation consumed.
• You can’t easily see which devices contributed most to your total usage.
