What are fixed charges?

In addition to a price per kWh, you also pay fixed charges with Leafy Energy. These are amounts you pay regardless of how many kWh you use.

Types of fixed charges

• Supplier standing charge: a monthly amount for administration, billing, and customer service.
• Connection or capacity fee: an amount linked to the size of your connection.

Where do I see them in the app?

• On your invoice, fixed charges are often grouped under “Fixed charges” or “Subscription”.
• In the monthly cost overview you can filter on “fixed costs” versus “usage-based costs”.

Why are fixed charges needed?

Even if you use little energy, Leafy Energy incurs costs for your connection, data handling, customer service, and platform availability. Fixed charges keep this basic layer running.
