Firmware and Leafy Energy

Home batteries regularly receive firmware updates with bug fixes, new features, or security patches. Leafy Energy’s compatibility layer takes this into account.

Firmware compatibility

• Each driver defines a minimum supported firmware version.
• If your version is too old, the UI shows a friendly warning.

Automatic firmware updates

• Updates are rolled out by the manufacturer or inverter, not by Leafy Energy.
• After an update, Leafy Energy re-checks that communication still works as expected.

Demo scenarios

In the demo environment you can simulate an “intentional incompatibility”, so support teams can practise how to explain firmware issues to customers.
