Home batteries speak many different “languages”. Leafy Energy translates these protocols into a unified energy model so dashboards, automations, and calculations work the same everywhere.

Local protocols

• Modbus TCP/RTU: common in inverters and industrial-style batteries.
• MQTT: widely used in home automation and Home Assistant setups.
• mDNS/zeroconf discovery: to automatically discover devices on your LAN.

Cloud APIs

• REST APIs with OAuth2 or API tokens.
