Setting a personal price cap
Leafy Energy doesn’t control market prices, but you can configure a personal price cap in the app.
What does a personal cap do?
- You define a level at which you think “above this I want to be extra careful”.
- Alerts fire whenever an hourly price exceeds that level.
- Automations can pause or throttle certain loads.
What doesn’t it do?
- It does not change market prices; billing still uses the real hourly prices.
- It does not replace government tariffs or official price caps.
Think of a personal cap as a behavioural guardrail, not as a legally binding maximum tariff.
