Step-by-step: high price alert

High price alerts warn you before you accidentally consume a lot of energy during expensive hours. Perfect for avoiding peaks.

Step 1: Choose your threshold

• Open the price alert screen in the Leafy Energy app.
• Set a threshold, for example € 0.40 per kWh.
• Choose whether the alert applies every day or weekdays only.

Step 2: Choose your notification channel

• Push notification on your phone.
• Email notification.
• Optional: webhook to Home Assistant or Homey (for advanced users).

Step 3: Test your alert

Use the test button to send a mock notification. This confirms that your phone, email, or automation responds correctly.

As soon as the day-ahead prices are published, Leafy Energy checks whether any hours exceed your threshold and notifies you in time.
