EV charging control as a cloud service on top of Leafy Energy
For organisations with many charge points, the demo can include a fictional EV charging control service that runs on top of Leafy Energy.
Features of the sample service
- Dynamically adjusting charger power based on Leafy prices.
- Scheduling charging sessions based on desired departure times and maximum price per kWh.
- Fleet manager dashboards showing costs and charging timelines.
Technical building blocks
- Backend in Node.js, Python or .NET using the Leafy Energy SDK.
- A message queue for event-driven scaling (for example per site).
- Webhooks for events such as “session.ev_started” and “pricing.threshold_crossed”.
This article outlines such a service so that architecture workshops can quickly evolve from idea to design.
